6 Analysis Toolbox

The Analysis toolbox contains 5 toolsets to “perform the most fundamental GIS Operations” (Esri 2020). It covers the tools you will encounter in every 101 course to GIS: Clip, Buffer, Spatial Join. We wont cover all tools in this toolbox, but focus on three toolsets that contain the most commonly used tools. All these tools are vector based, so we will work mostly with the package sf (see chapter 3.1).
